Restoration.
Reclaiming the past and bringing in the new.

Contact us for the redesign or restoration of existing planting schemes and hard landscaping.

We believe in the sensitive development of gardens attached to period properties. This means ensuring that the garden continues to be in-keeping with the architecture of the house.

We provide an over-haul service for gardens that are in need of taming and can provide planning documents for the future management of newly restored gardens. See below for an example of one of our current projects.

Classic Formality
Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

This garden is a work in progress with gradual restoration and extension of the planted areas and re-design where necessary.

Purchased three years ago, the house has been renovated internally and although regularly maintained by the gardener, the main design and planting of the garden has remained much as it was when the new owners took over.

Work undertaken includes the addition of new topiarised specimens, yew and box hedging and re-vamping of the borders to add year-round interest and form through new planting schemes.
Major bulb planting- particularly tulips and alliums- is currently taking place to provide a spectacular spring display.

Other plans in progress include a romantic Italian-style garden with fountain, ironwork arbour and white planting scheme.
Currently new beds are being created in the main lawned area. As they are visible from the main windows of the house, they are being planted particularly for winter interest with careful attention being paid to bark and stem colour.
