At TulipTree we design and create unique outdoor spaces for private individuals and commercial organisations.

Our fundamental philosophy is that access to quality outdoor spaces transforms lives and that proximity to space and vegetation is good for the soul!

Our landscapes help clients to establish a year-round connection with nature.
We make careful use of architectural plants, reclaimed and natural hard-landscaping materials and high quality garden furnishings.

Our gardens and outdoor spaces are designed to be lived, played, worked and relaxed in. They are places which are created to provide enjoyment and interest throughout the years in return for some nurturing and attention, this applies to public places and private gardens.

You are welcome to browse our website. If you like what you see, please feel free to call for an informal chat regarding your requirements and for information on prices.

We offer a design service where all aspects of hard landscaping, lighting, planting, and furniture are considered.

Bespoke to the individual site, our plans are hand-drawn. We produce sketches and digitally-generated photographic images to help our clients visualize the finished landscape.

.

Our speciality is PLANTING and in our use of plants we are experts at transforming a new garden into an oasis of colour, scent and movement. Careful planting means that even in the depths of winter there will still be something beautiful to look out at from your windows.

We use large-sized specimen trees, shrubs and flowering plants to give instant impact and privacy, combining foliage and flowers in both modern and traditional planting schemes. Although its no substitute for the real thing, our portfolio has been designed to give you a good idea of how we like our finished gardens to look.

We offer services for the restoration of gardens belonging to older properties. Our involvement can take the form of a written consultation document offering suggestions on how to proceed, or we offer a more hands-on approach which involves the direct project management and supervision of the rejuvenation.

We have an extensive portfolio of clients and completed projects; some of which are featured on this site.

Method of Working
We believe in working closely with our clients in order to design and create for them inviting recreational spaces which sit comfortably with the architecture of any surrounding buildings and the wider landscape. We believe that the best gardens come from a close and respectful collaboration between designer and client and we work hard to fulfil their expectations within a realistic timescale and budget.

We treat every garden as we would our own- this means taking the time and care to get to know a site intimately and paying close attention to detail in the final product.

We treat our customers like real people- we know that they make important connections between the landscape and their emotions. Certain plants and places evoke strong memories and associations, and being close to nature can have a healing and therapeutic effect. We are not ‘New Age’ in our thinking but seek to address the fact that modern lifestyles have become uncomfortably disconnected from nature and the outdoor world.

Wherever possible and relevant, we believe in the value of supporting and employing local businesses. Over the years we have established strong working relationships with a number of key suppliers including paving and timber supplies, building, joinery, and electrical services and, of course, a number of high quality nurseries who specialise in plants for particular situations. Our use of local craftspeople adds a unique element to our designs.

Where possible we seek to minimise our environmental impact by selecting local materials and working with the existing site conditions.
